In an audacious experiment that challenges the authority of online truth, Elon Musk’s Grokipedia directly challenges Wikipedia by substituting artificial intelligence (AI) for human editors. Musk’s response to what he has long criticized as “biased and woke” content on Wikipedia is Grokipedia, which was introduced in late October 2025. The platform, which was created with xAI’s massive language model Grok, claims to be fact-checked by AI rather than humans and offers impartial and accurate knowledge. Grokipedia launched with almost 885,000 entries in its first version (v0.1). Although still a small portion of Wikipedia’s enormous collection of over six million English-language pages, this is noteworthy.
