The multilateral system has, since 1956, been dominated by the several pre-poll and post-poll alliances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The judiciary of Kerala is independent of the\u00a0executive\u00a0and the\u00a0legislature, while it is common for leading members of the executive (Kerala Council of Ministers) to be members of the legislature as well. The political system is laid out in the\u00a0Constitution of India\u00a0(1950).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Legislative Assembly\u00a0has a membership of 141, where 140 are elected and one is nominated from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anglo-Indian\">Anglo-Indian<\/a>\u00a0community.
